Special Edition on Dual-Choice 2000

We take this opportunity to provide you with upcoming dates surrounding the year 2000 Dual-Choice Enrollment period for your planning purposes. Watch for subsequent Bulletins confirming the dates and providing more detailed information and instructions.

Dual-Choice Enrollment Period Tentatively Set for October 4-22, 1999

The 2000 Dual-Choice Enrollment Period is tentatively scheduled to be held from October 4-22, 1999 for state agencies and local employers who participate in the Department of Employe Trust Funds (ETF) Group Health Insurance Program.

During this period, currently insured employes may switch from one health plan to another plan or from single to family coverage without restrictions. All coverage changes will be effective January 1, 2000.

Dual-Choice Kick-Off Meeting Set for September 29, 1999

Each year ETF offers a Dual-Choice "Kick-Off" meeting so that state and local employers, payroll and personnel representatives, health plan representatives and ETF staff may share information and discuss procedures regarding the Dual-Choice Enrollment Period.

Attendees planning to stay overnight at the hotel should make reservations as soon as possible. Accommodations in Madison that week are very limited due to the World Dairy Exposition and Convention.

Schedule Your Dual-Choice Health Fairs Early

Representatives from group health insurance plans provide information and answer questions at employer health fairs. Local employers and state agencies must arrange their own health fairs.
For state agencies only: If you wish to have your health fair dates and times printed in ETF's October 2000 It's Your Choice booklet, contact Mary Hensen at (608) 266-8411 by August 4, 1999.

You may also contact Mary Hensen if you have any Dual-Choice related concerns or questions about attending the Kick-Off.
