Deliver Employe Annual Statement of Benefits and Return
WRS Distribution Report
A personalized Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) annual Statement
of Benefits (dated January 1, 2000) is enclosed for active
employes who had WRS contribution balances as of December 31, 1999.
Please distribute the Statements according to the instructions
and guidelines provided below.
The Department of Employe Trust Funds (ETF) must verify that all
participants receive a WRS Statement. Once you distribute
the Statements to your employes, complete the Distribution
Report included with this Bulletin and return it to ETF
by June 30, 2000.
Statement Format Changes
ETF has reformatted the annual Statement of Benefits.
The January 1, 2000 Statement has additional information
for participants with Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO).
In addition, Section 2 now includes the amount of service transferred
to the alternate payee account from the participant account by the
QDRO order. Each Statement contains an insert, "Special
Notice Regarding 1999 Wisconsin Act 11," printed on
green paper. The insert explains the current status of this new
legislation. Please refer your employes to this insert if they have
questions about the legislation.
ETF continually seeks to improve the annual Statement of Benefits
format, and we welcome your feedback regarding the Statements.
Please address all comments to Dale Ferron, Division of Employer
Services, P.O. Box 7931, Madison, WI 53707-7931. You may also contact
