Benefit Presentations Set for February-April

The Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) and other sponsors will offer 15 free public presentations in February, March and April for Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) participants, especially those considering or planning retirement in the near future. The workshops are valuable opportunities for members, spouses and other individuals seeking general information on retirement issues and other WRS benefit programs.

Topics covered during the presentations include calculating retirement benefits, annuity options, disability benefits, separation benefits, taxes, survivor benefits, and health and life insurance benefits. Questions on when to retire and how to determine actual benefits will also be discussed.

No reservations are needed except for the presentation hosted by Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) 7 Inter-active Learning Services (ILS) on March 22. Each session is free. Most sessions run from 7 to 9 p.m. except for the session held in Milwaukee on March 14, which will run from 5 to 7 p.m. All locations are handicapped accessible with adequate free parking.

Please inform your employees of the dates and locations. Attached to this Bulletin is a list of the presentation dates and locations. Feel free to reproduce the page for display in the work areas. Take a moment and highlight presentations held in your area.
