Benefit Presentations Set for September-November
The Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) and other sponsors
will offer 14 free public presentations in September, October and
November for Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) participants, especially
those considering or planning retirement in the near future. The
workshops are valuable opportunities for members, spouses and other
individuals seeking general information on retirement issues, including
Act 11 pension and benefit changes, and other WRS benefit programs.
Specific topics covered during the presentations include calculating
retirement benefits, annuity options, disability benefits, separation
benefits, taxes, survivor benefits, and health and life insurance
benefits. Questions on when to retire and how to determine actual
benefits will also be discussed.
No reservations are needed except for the presentations hosted
- SRTNC Network on September 20
- ERVING Network on October 9
- Northern Lights Network on September 24 and 26
Each session is free and runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. All locations
are handicapped accessible with adequate free parking.
