Spring Benefit Presentations; Revised Authorization
for Direct Rollover Form
Benefit Presentations Set for February - April 2005
The Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) and other sponsors
are offering 19 free public presentations on Wisconsin Retirement
System (WRS) benefits in February, March and April for WRS participants.
The workshops are valuable opportunities for members, spouses and
other individuals seeking general information on retirement issues
and other WRS benefit programs. Those considering or planning retirement
in the near future are strongly encouraged to attend.
Topics covered during the presentations include calculating retirement
benefits, annuity options, separation benefits, taxes, survivor
benefits, and health and life insurance benefits. Questions regarding
when to retire and how to determine actual benefits are also discussed.
Each session is free and most run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. All locations
are handicapped accessible.
Attached to this Bulletin is a list
of presentation dates and locations. Reservations are not required.
Feel free to reproduce the attached “Public Presentations”
page for display at your work site. We encourage you to list the
date, time, and place of presentation(s) in your area within your
internal communications to employees (employee newsletter, Intranet,
etc.)

Revised Authorization for Direct Rollover Form
The Authorization for Direct Rollover (ET-7355, rev. 08/2004) has
been revised to reflect provisions of the Economic Growth and Tax
Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 (EGTRRA). The form revisions include:
- Addition of two receiving plan options
- The ability to include investment in contract (after-tax) contributions
in the rollover if the receiving plan accepts and accounts for
after-tax contributions separately
ETF will no longer accept the Authorization for Direct Rollover
(ET-7355) form with a revision date prior to 08/2004. Any forms
with unacceptable revision dates will be returned to the applicants,
along with a newly revised form and instructions. Destroy older
versions and order the newly revised forms by contacting Supply
and Mail Services Section at (608) 266-3302 or order online at http://etf.wi.gov/.
