New Diabetes Program;
Long-Term Care Offered in 2019 for State Members

New Diabetes Program
Health program subscribers and their spouses with diabetes may receive a letter from StayWell about a new voluntary program. This new program, sponsored by ETF, will start in January. It is a collaboration between StayWell and Navitus. Program participants will receive free or reduced cost insulin and other prescription drugs directly related to diabetes care if they participate in StayWell’s disease management program. To learn more or enroll in diabetes disease management, contact the StayWell HelpLine at 1-800-821-6591 or send an email to wellwisconsin@staywell.com.

Long-Term Care Still Offered in 2019 (State Only)
The Group Insurance Board voted to continue the current long-term care insurance offering through 2019 at their November meeting. State employees can enroll year round.

Reminder: Please forward yesterday’s e-alert
Yesterday ETF sent out an e-alert out:

  • Reminding members about the cost change for Dispense as Written or “DAW-1” prescriptions and providing resources.
  • Promoting “Healthcare in your PJs”, a new 1-minute video on telehealth.

“Healthcare in your PJs” is the first of three videos that will be released throughout 2019 to help members make the most of their health plans. We will release these videos through e-alerts, as well as make them available in the ALEX employer toolkit.

Encourage your employees to watch by posting links to the videos on your intranet site or using them in other employee communications.

E-alerts only go to employees who have subscribed for them, so we’re asking for your help. Please forward the e-alert to employees once you receive it, so all your employees have access to the news and resources.
