Group Health Insurance:
2012 Uniform Benefits Changes
(State Employees Only)

The implementation of new state laws resulted in changes to the Uniform Benefits offered through the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance program. These changes went into effect on January 1, 2012. One major adjustment was the addition of a 10 percent coinsurance for non-preventive medical services. The emergency room copay was also raised to $75. The chart below shows some of the other changes. Annuitants and members on Medicare as their primary payor will see no change to their benefits. State employees should contact their health plans for more information.
