Question:  What are Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) Earnings?

Answer:

Earnings for WRS reporting purposes include the gross earnings or salary paid to an employee, for personal services performed for the benefit of an employer. Gross earnings include salary paid prior to any deductions for such things as unemployment compensation, taxes, retirement contributions and insurance premiums.
