Choosing Wisely WebsiteChoosing Wisely
choosingwisely.org/patient-resources/
Choosing Wisely provides information to empower patients when having conversations with their healthcare providers about what medical tests and procedures are right for them. The goal is to avoid wasteful or unnecessary tests, treatments and procedures. Consumer Reports is a partner in this effort, which is based on recommendations from more than 70 medical specialty societies.
Note: Choosing Wisely recommendations should not be used to establish coverage decisions or exclusions. Rather, they are meant to spur conversation about what is appropriate and necessary treatment.
