Health Insurance Satisfaction Survey Underway

The Department's annual Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey (CAHPS ®) is underway. A random sample of insured participants and retirees covered under the state’s Group Health Insurance Program will be asked about their experiences with their health plan and the health care they received over the past year.

The survey results are used to generate a report card distributed to members in It’s Your Choice booklets and come into play during premium negotiations with health plans. In addition, the health plans use the data for quality improvement activities.

ETF has contracted with a vendor, Morpace, to conduct the survey. Most participants will receive the survey via e-mail; some will receive a paper copy, mailed to their home addresses.

Employees of the State of Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin System, or UW Hospital and Clinics have permission from their employers to participate in the survey during scheduled work hours without loss of pay.
