Preliminary Investment Returns Reported By the State of Wisconsin Investment Board

The State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) has released 2003 preliminary returns for the Fixed and Variable Trust Funds. The 2003 SWIB Fixed Trust Fund preliminary return is 24.1% and the Variable Trust Fund return was 32.7%.

Please remember that these are NEITHER the effective rate interest percentage credited to active and eligible inactive member accounts, NOR annuitant dividends paid to retirees. The Department of Employee Trust Funds (DETF) is in the process of calculating these rates and will announce them in mid- to late-February. For more information, see SWIB’s press release.
