Use Caution With E-mails

The Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) recently learned of an e-mail phishing scam that may appear to be related to ACH (electronic funds) transactions. Victims of this scam receive e-mails that appear to come from, the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA).

These fraudulent e-mails refer to an ACH transfer, payment or transaction and contain a link or attachment that could infect your computer if clicked. E-mails from do not relate to ETF transactions. NACHA manages the development and administration of the ACH Network; it does not deal with individual ACH transactions.

If you receive a suspect e-mail from NACHA, please forward it to

It is good policy not to click on an e-mail link or open an e-mail attachment from unknown parties. Additional information on phishing is available from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC).
