Department of Employee Trust Funds
June 14, 2012
Attention Employee Reimbursement
Accounts (ERA) and Commuter Benefits Program Participants
Effective July 1, 2012, online services for the ERA and Commuter
Benefits programs administered by the Department of Employee Trust
Funds will move to a new system supported by WageWorks, Inc. The
following is important information that you need to know during
the transition:
- There will be a hold period between July 1 and July 15, 2012
during which claims will not be processed. During this hold period,
your ERA account information will be transferred to your new WageWorks
account.
- As part of the transition to the WageWorks system, your current
myFBMC® Visa® Card will be deactivated on June 30, 2012
and cannot be used during the hold period. It will be replaced
with a new WageWorks Health Care Card. Watch for the new card
in the mail in early July. Activate your WageWorks Health Care
Card by calling the telephone number on the card. The card will
be available for use beginning July 16.
- Orders and changes to Commuter Benefits elections for the month
of August must be made between June 11 through June 30 using the
current system at www.myFBMC.com.
If you already participate, and do not need to make changes to
your Commuter Benefits election for August, no action is required.
- No Commuter Benefits election or changes can be made between
July 1 and July 15.
- Commuter Benefits orders will not be transferred to the new
system. You must place a new Commuter Benefits order between
July 16 and August 10 to have your parking and/or transit election
effective on September 1.
Current ERA and Commuter Benefits program participants will receive
information about the change to the WageWorks system via mail or
e-mail. The links below offer more information about the change
to the WageWorks system.
