WRS Wisconsin Tax Identification
WRS members who received a lump sum payment from January through mid-September of 2014 will soon receive by mail a replacement 1099-R tax document from the WRS. This 1099-R contains the WRS’s new Wisconsin Tax Identification Number.
- This document shows the same taxable income and withholding as the original document. Only the WRS’s identifying number in Box 13 of the form has changed.
- Members must use this replacement document when they file their 2014 income taxes.
- Members should destroy the 1099-R the WRS sent in 2014.
