Group Health Insurance Survey
The Office of Strategic Health Policy at the Department of Employee Trust Funds has partnered with the University of Wisconsin (UW) Center for Financial Security at the La Follette School of Public Affairs to conduct a survey as part of a study to examine:
- Employees’ understanding of out-of-pocket costs and the requirements of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).
- How different perceptions of costs drive health care and financial choices.
- Important factors employees consider when choosing a health care plan.
- What strategies help employees be more effective in planning and saving for out-of-pocket costs.
The UW Survey Center is responsible for conducting the survey. The survey has been sent to 6,000 participants of the group health insurance program. Participants may receive the survey via email or mail (letters mailed March 15). Participation is voluntary and responses will be kept confidential.
