ETF Secretary Stella Appoints Deputy

MADISON, (Wis.) – Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) Secretary David Stella announced today the appointment of Bob Conlin as Deputy Secretary. “I’m very pleased to appoint Bob as Deputy Secretary at an important time in the Department’s history. We will be challenged in the coming years to provide high quality, efficient retirement services to the wave of baby boomers about to retire,” Stella said. “Bob will be a great asset in helping us address those challenges while keeping the Wisconsin Retirement System strong.”

Conlin has served as the agency’s director of legislation, communications and planning. Prior to joining ETF, Conlin was a senior staff attorney for thirteen years with the Wisconsin Legislative Council Staff, a nonpartisan agency supporting the Legislature’s operations, and a Sauk County assistant corporation counsel before that.

In his new role, Conlin will serve as chief operating officer of ETF, with responsibility for much of the day-to-day operations of the agency.

Conlin, who was raised in Durand, Wisconsin, is a 1988 graduate of St. John’s University in Minnesota, and a 1991 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Conlin’s appointment is effective immediately.
