Here is an update on the January 1, 2020 Wisconsin Retirement System annual Statement of Benefits distribution . This statement is a once-a-year summary of non-retired members’ retirement account information.
Local government employees: (Local government employees include those of cities, townships, villages, school districts, or technical colleges.) Your employer usually receives and distributes your paper statement in mid-April. At this time, the Department of Employee Trust Funds has postponed shipping statements to your employer. This is because package delivery services have temporarily changed their confirmation of receipt procedures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ETF does not have a firm date by which you can expect your annual statement; however, shipments will resume as soon as possible.
These measures are necessary to ensure your information remains private and secure. Thank you for your patience as we work through this unprecedented time together.
State employees and Alternate Payees: Watch for your statement within the next week. ETF will direct mail paper statements to state employees using home addresses on file. University of Wisconsin employees will receive their statements electronically, through the UW portal. Carefully review your statement. For questions or clarification on the information in your statement, first contact your employer.
