Bob Conlin, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds, has notified the ETF Board that he will be stepping down from his post in March of 2021. Conlin said he is moving to the East Coast to join his wife, who accepted employment there a few years ago.
“It’s been an incredible honor and privilege to have had the opportunity to work with the talented and caring team at ETF for the last 14 years. Their commitment to serving Wisconsin Retirement System participants is truly inspiring,” said Conlin. “I also want to thank the ETF Board for the support it’s provided to me and the agency. Through their prudent oversight, the WRS is in a very strong position.”
Conlin was appointed as Secretary by the ETF Board in January of 2012. He served as Deputy Secretary and the Director of Legislation and Communications before that appointment.
Wayne Koessl, Chair of the ETF Board said, “Secretary Bob Conlin is a dedicated, innovative, and transparent leader who expanded the services for our members and organized a top-notch administrative team. I’m sorry to see Bob leave. He will be missed, and I thank him for his outstanding service.”
The ETF Board will discuss a strategy for finding Conlin’s replacement at its meeting on September 17.
