Take action to prevent the flu! Stay as healthy as possible this flu season and get your flu vaccine as soon as possible. Here’s how:
- Schedule an appointment with your health care provider; or
- Visit your local in-network retail pharmacy. While most pharmacies participate in the Navitus network and administer vaccines/immunizations, not all of them do. Your claim for a vaccine/immunization will be rejected if you use an out-of-network pharmacy, and you will have to pay the full cost. If the pharmacy you want to use is out-of-network (e.g., CVS), contact your health plan to see if it will cover your claim through the pharmacy under the medical benefit.
- Check to see if there are any employer on-site flu shot clinics hosted by StayWell in your area. Log into to your StayWell account or call StayWell at 1-800-821-6591. The link to the current schedule is on the homepage.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it’s likely that flu viruses and the virus that cause COVID-19 will both spread this season.
