GIB Focuses on Program Affordability and Sustainability

The Group Insurance Board today discussed initiatives that would support program affordability for members, program innovation, and the overall sustainability of the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program. The Board also approved the release of several requests for proposal.

GIB Sets 2024 Health Insurance Program Rates

The GIB today voted to increase rates in 2024 to offset rising health benefit costs and to maintain reserve funds of the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program.

Act 20 Health Insurance Feasibility Study: Spousal Exclusion and Employee Opt Out

Wisconsin Act 20 actuarial study analyzing the feasibility of excluding from state employee health insurance coverage a spouse or domestic partner who has health insurance coverage available through his or her employer. It also evaluates the creation of an incentive payment program for state employees who opt not to take state health insurance coverage. June 30, 2014.

Domestic Partner Benefits

As of Sept. 23, 2017, the State of Wisconsin no longer allows the establishment of new domestic partnerships under Chapter 40 of the Wisconsin statutes. This brochure provides information about the benefit changes for established domestic partnerships.
