Retirees receiving an annuity may return to work with a WRS employer after a specified waiting period. The member must either terminate their annuity and become a WRS-participating employee again or continue to receive their annuity as well as wages and not be a participating employee. This is determined by whether their new position meets the WRS participation standards.
