GIB Approves Benefit Changes for 2026

Today, the Group Insurance Board approved benefit changes for plan year 2026. In addition, the Board decided to not adjust cost-sharing for any of the Group Health Insurance Program plan designs offered.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report 2016

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report of the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds for the year ended December 31, 2016 provides comprehensive information about ETF, the Wisconsin Retirement System, and other benefit programs administered by ETF.

How an HDHP Works

High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) usually have lower monthly premiums than plans with lower deductibles. By using the untaxed funds in your Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for expenses before you reach your deductible, you reduce your overall healthcare costs.

There are three types of expenses associated with an HDHP: deductible, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket limit. These may work differently than you expect if you haven't had an HDHP before.

High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs)

High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) cost less per month but won't start paying for your care until you meet your deductible. The one exception is preventive care, which is covered at 100%. Learn how an HDHP differs from the other options, and if it is a good fit for you.
