This application is intended for insured employees who are terminating Wisconsin Retirement System employment, who may qualify to continue life insurance coverage, and who will not begin a WRS retirement benefit immediately.
This chart is being provided based on information received by ETF from these employers. Employers and employees should communicate with each other about whether their sick leave may or may not transfer.
The WRS is a pension plan that is open to any public employer as defined by Wis. Stat. § 40.02(28). All employers joining the WRS must be covered by Wisconsin’s Section 218 Agreement with the SSA. The WRS is intended to provide a lifetime annuity to members who are vested and have reached minimum retirement age.
