LAHP is a program that provides group health insurance for retirees whose group health insurance with their former employer does not meet their needs or is not permanently available after retirement.
(Updated June 18, 2024) The Group Insurance Board has set premium rates for 2025, while taking action to stabilize the reserve of the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program. The Board also approved health plan service areas for the 2025 plan year at its meeting yesterday.

The group health insurance program is an employer-sponsored program offering group health coverage to employees of state agencies, UW System, UW Hospital & Clinics Authority and participating local government employers.
The Group Health Insurance Program offers employees of employers who participate in the WRS or are covered by a Section 218
Agreement a uniform medical benefits package. The employer can also choose to offer Uniform Dental Benefits.
