GIB Approves Benefit Changes for 2026

Today, the Group Insurance Board approved benefit changes for plan year 2026. In addition, the Board decided to not adjust cost-sharing for any of the Group Health Insurance Program plan designs offered.

WRS Three-Year Experience Study January 1, 2003 - December 31, 2005

The results of the 3-year investigation of experience of the Wisconsin Retirement System are presented in this report. The investigation was made for the purpose of updating the actuarial assumptions used in valuing the actuarial liabilities of the Wisconsin Retirement System in compliance with Section 40.03(5)(b) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

New Health Plan Application Information and Resources

The State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program (GHIP) provides uniform health benefits to both state agencies and local government entities. Nearly a dozen health plans participate in the GHIP providing coverage to nearly one-quarter million lives.

2026 Insurance Open Enrollment on Oct. 6-31, 2025

For 2026, expect name changes for a few health plans, new administrators for vision insurance and pre-tax savings accounts, and increased medical deductible for the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and Access HDHP.

Domestic Partner Benefits

As of Sept. 23, 2017, the State of Wisconsin no longer allows the establishment of new domestic partnerships under Chapter 40 of the Wisconsin statutes. This brochure provides information about the benefit changes for established domestic partnerships.
