The Group Insurance Board today discussed initiatives that would support program affordability for members, program innovation, and the overall sustainability of the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program. The Board also approved the release of several requests for proposal.

Law Change Affects County Correctional Officers

August 28, 2023

Beginning January 1, 2024, county correctional officers (jailers) who are currently categorized as general category employees will become protective occupation employees under the WRS, unless they opt out.

Office Closure - Thanksgiving 2023

The Department of Employee Trust Funds, including all customer service phone lines, will be closed for business on Thursday, November 23, due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday. ETF’s customer service call center staff will be available beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, November 24.
