Well Wisconsin is here to provide flu vaccine clinics at your location this fall. In addition, you'll find the latest information on resources and activities to promote in July, including Daily Habits and Chronic Condition Management, and the July Kindness at Work calendar activities focusing on human connection. Be sure to add these into your upcoming communications.

Flu Vaccine Clinics

Employers may host flu vaccine clinics for their employees and spouses enrolled in the State of Wisconsin or Wisconsin Public Employers Group Health Insurance Program between September 6 – December 16, 2022.

To request a clinic (minimum event size of 20 people) at your location, complete this survey as early as possible (60 days prior is recommended) to ensure WebMD Health Services can accommodate your request. Flu vaccine clinics may not be held on the same day as a Well Wisconsin onsite biometric health screening event.

Review the following onsite flu clinic site coordinator guide resources for further details on what to expect at the clinics and your responsibilities as a site coordinator.

Contact Katie Storlie, WebMD Health Service’s onsite screening and flu clinic coordinator, with questions.

Note: UW-Madison should disregard this information since they use a different administrator to coordinate flu vaccine clinics.

Daily Habits and Condition Management

Well Wisconsin participants can set and track a variety of lifestyle and condition management plans that help them achieve their well-being goals. Whether it’s managing a condition, working on general health improvements, or both, by completing simple recommended daily tracking they become a lasting daily habit. Plans include, but are not limited to: enjoy exercise, balance your diet, keep stress in check, lose weight, cope with the blues, and quit tobacco. Help promote Daily Habits or the Chronic Condition Management program using these handouts and help your employees live every moment to the fullest.

Kindness at Work Reminder: Human Connection

For the month of July, Random Acts of Kindness encourages everyone to focus on human connection. Dr. Robert Waldinger shares, “a research study by Harvard conducted over a period of 80 years, proves that human connections and healthy relationships are the number one and two drivers of longevity, respectively.”

Employees who participate in at least 21 kindness, self-compassion, or well-being activities from the calendar can complete a short survey to receive an employer-sponsored activity code to count toward their well-being activity incentive credit. Share the Kindness at Work handout and/or print out and distribute these Kindness Cards to spread kindness.

Kindness Quote of the Month

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” Leo Buscaglia
