In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness month, employers participating in the Group Health Insurance Program are encouraged to promote and share how the Well Wisconsin well-being activities, Well Wisconsin Radio and Kindness at Work can help with overall mental health and well-being. Please help reduce the stigma of mental health for your employees between now and the end of May.
Well-Being Activities
Did you know that employees have many options available to help them with their overall health and well-being? Use this handout to communicate the many available options and consider highlighting the following activities:
- Health coaching. Participants can work with a dedicated coach to focus on reducing stress or managing overwhelm and burnout.
- Daily Habits. A tool available in the Well Wisconsin portal to help participants with things like coping with the blues, keeping stress in check, sleeping well, staying connected with others and combatting loneliness, work life balance and more.
While the Stressless challenge is over, participants can still reap mental health and well-being benefits by participating in upcoming challenges. The Invitational challenge, starting in May, focuses on physical activity, and the Five to Thrive challenge, starting this summer, focuses on nutrition.

Please share the new Well Wisconsin Radio webpage with your employees by adding it to your intranet pages or sharing the Well Wisconsin Radio handout.
Employees can subscribe through Apple Podcasts, Spotify or Google Podcasts to be notified when new episodes are posted.
Kindness at Work Reminder: Integrity
For the month of May, Random Acts of Kindness encourages everyone to focus on integrity. They say, “Integrity is the foundation of trust and confidence. Doing what you say builds an environment of respect and mutual appreciation.”
Employees who participate in at least 21 kindness, self-compassion or well-being activities from the calendar can complete a short survey to receive an employer-sponsored activity code to count toward their well-being activity incentive credit. Share the Kindness at Work handout and/or print out and distribute these Kindness Cards to spread kindness.
