The Department of Employee Trust Funds has published a new training video for local employers focused on the high deductible health plan (HDHP). 

When local employers participate in ETF’s Group Health Insurance Program, they must select a program option that determines their cost-sharing benefit design. Program options 7 and 17 are the HDHP options. What makes a health plan an HDHP? What are its features? This new training video answers these questions and more.

This training includes information about HDHPs including:

  • Definitions of HDHP, deductibles, maximum out of pocket limits, and more.
  • Features of HDHPs including limits, Health Savings Accounts, and more.
  • Resources for learning more about HDHPs.
