Wellness Grants Available
The Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds awards state and local employers participating in the Group Health Insurance Program with wellness grants to support your efforts to create and sustain a healthy work environment. Find details and complete the online application to apply for a wellness grant. Applications are due December 15, 2023. See the ETF grant guide for ideas. Please note, applications cannot be edited once they are submitted.
Well Wisconsin 2024 Champion Kickoff Meetings
The Well Wisconsin program is rolling out a few surprises for 2024. Coming soon are new well-being resources, support for mental health and chronic conditions, new contests and incentives for champions, and health-themed experiences for employees. Employers are encouraged to join one of the upcoming kickoff meeting webinars to discover more. The webinars are offered November 7 from 2-3 p.m. or January 4 from 10-11 a.m. During the session, you will receive a customizable calendar for your 2024 well-being planning and details about program kickoff opportunities for employees.

Well Wisconsin Champion Connection and Awards Ceremony
We heard you: you’re looking for opportunities to connect with other wellness champion employers. Join us on February 22 at the beautiful Olbrich Botanical Gardens for the Well Wisconsin Champion Connection and Awards Ceremony. The morning session, Finding Closer Connection with Champions, will take place from 9-11:30 a.m. A team of dedicated well-being program staff will share information and facilitate group activities and discussion.
Then, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., you may get lunch on your own (or invite a fellow champion along) before coming back for the annual Well Wisconsin Awards Ceremony scheduled from 1-3 p.m. Celebrate wins and learn about successes occurring at your fellow state, UW, and local employers around Wisconsin. You’ll end the day with an exciting presentation that unveils the user experience for some new 2024 programs.
You may register for the morning session or Awards Ceremony separately or together, as your schedule allows.
Submit a Nomination for a Well Wisconsin Award
Help us celebrate personal, team, and organizational well-being success from 2023 by completing our nomination form by January 31, 2024. You may also share this link with others in your organization to help us find an award-winning nomination.
There are two award categories. The Excellence and Innovation category recognizes employers who have gone above and beyond promoting the Well Wisconsin program by creating a culture of well-being at the workplace through supportive policies, environments, or creative program ideas. The Personal Spotlight category recognizes someone who has personally accomplished a well-being goal or drives their organization toward a supportive well-being culture.
