Open enrollment ends next week! Make sure to review 2025 insurance changes and make any changes by October 25, 2024.
Supplemental Plans
Are you aware that you may be eligible for supplemental dental, vision, and accident benefits?
- Supplemental dental offers coverage for major dental services such as crowns, bridges, implants, root canals, and dentures. Deductibles and limitations may apply for services.
- Supplemental vision offers coverage for a routine eye exam, frames, and lenses. Copays and limitations may apply for services.
- The Accident Plan provides a cash payment for injuries suffered as a result of an accident such as concussions, fractures, burns, emergency care, and surgeries.
Supplemental dental and vision are available to retirees. State employees are eligible for supplemental dental, vision, and the accident plan. Local employees, check with your employer to see if these benefits are available to you or visit the Local Employer Supplemental Options page.
Life Insurance
Protect your loved ones financially by enrolling in the State of Wisconsin Group Life Insurance Program. When reviewing and enrolling in other benefits, you can also see if life insurance is right for you. The life insurance program is available to all state employees, and local government employees whose employers participate in the program. You may even be able to continue coverage into retirement.
Eligible employees may apply for life insurance coverage at any time by providing a satisfactory evidence of insurability application.
Update your Beneficiary Designation
Death benefits are always paid according to the most recent, valid beneficiary designation on file with ETF prior to your death. Your beneficiary information does not automatically change when a life event occurs. Review your beneficiaries and your needs regularly. Birth, adoption, death, marriage, and divorce are all common life situations that can change how you want your beneficiary designation structured.
