If you have been following the news over the past year, you don’t need me to tell you the story of the financial markets of 2022. The good news is that strong absolute investment returns in three of the past four years will help mitigate the effects of 2022 trust fund investment performance on upcoming annuity adjustments, as well as lend stability to contribution rate changes in 2024.

Important HSA Program Information

You must incur all eligible expenses for the 2023 benefit period by December 31, 2023. For the 2024 benefit period, you must incur all eligible expenses by December 31, 2024. The Health Savings Account (HSA) can only be used to pay for eligible medical expenses incurred after your HSA was established.

While you should always try to submit requests for distribution during the same plan year in which the expense was incurred, there is no deadline to request an HSA distribution.

All unused HSA funds carry over year-to-year without forfeiture.

The purpose of Request for Proposals (RFP) ETH0052-54 is to provide interested and qualified vendors with information to enable them to prepare and submit competitive proposals to administer the following programs: Internal Revenue Code Section 125 Cafeteria Plan, Health Savings Account (HSA), Employee Reimbursement Account (ERA), and Commuter Fringe Benefit Account.
