THE STATE OF WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYEE TRUST FUNDS
The purpose of Request for Proposal (RFP) ETH0039-48 is to provide interested and qualified vendors with information to enable them to prepare and submit competitive proposals to perform compliance audit services on third party administrator (“TPA”) contracts for the following State of Wisconsin employee benefit programs and services:
ETH0039 Internal Revenue Code Section 125 Cafeteria Plan and Employee Reimbursement Account Program
The Wisconsin Public Employers Group Life Insurance Program is a benefit provided under the WRS and is available to employees of the State of Wisconsin and employees of participating Wisconsin local government employers.
Local government employers may choose to pay for continued life insurance coverage for their employees in retirement. To do so, local employers must submit the Local Employer Paid Life Insurance Coverage (ET-1660) form.
The Group Insurance Board has approved the Wisconsin Public Employer Group Life Insurance premium rates for local employees. Claims experience has been stable, resulting in no change to local employee premium rates for 2023.
The Board moved forward with the 5% increase to the employee premium rates effective April 1, 2024. For rates effective April 1, 2023 - March 31, 2024, please see Group Life Insurance Plan Monthly Rates (ET-2164).
The Basic group life insurance plan became available to state employees in 1958 and to local government employees in 1960. Spouse & Dependent, Supplemental and Additional coverage is also available.
You may be able to convert your Basic group life insurance coverage to pay premiums for health insurance or long‑term care insurance. This brochure explains who is eligible and how conversion works.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from interested and qualified group life insurance providers that possess the resources and expertise to insure and administer the Wisconsin Public Employers Group Life Insurance Program (Program). Proposals from brokers will not be considered.
This application is intended for insured employees who are terminating private pension employment, who may qualify to continue life insurance coverage.
