ICI Program Changes for State and Local Employees

Review changes that will simplify the Income Continuation Insurance Program for state and local employees, effective in 2024. Coverage and benefits also have been expanded to employees aged 70 or older.

What a Guardian Can Do

Each time a guardian makes a request on behalf of a member, ETF will review the Letters of Guardianship of the Estate. The request will be approved or denied based on the authority granted in the letters.

Changes Coming to ICI Program for State and Local Employees

The GIB approved changes to simplify the Income Continuation Insurance Program for employees and streamline program administration. Consider enrolling in ICI. 2023 premiums are $0 for local employees and being reduced by 20% for state employees.

The Group Health Insurance Program offers employees of employers who participate in the WRS or are covered by a Section 218
Agreement a uniform medical benefits package. The employer can also choose to offer Uniform Dental Benefits.

GIB Authorizes Negotiation of Wellness Contracts

GIB approves the issuance of a letter of intent to award contract(s) to WebMD for administering the Well Wisconsin Program, including well-being, mental health, and chronic condition management; reviews initiatives based on Healthcare Triple Aim guiding principles; sets the 2024 open enrollment period; and more.
