Review the Universities of Wisconsin Employee Benefits General Employee Information for enrollment information and instructions.
New employees can log in to Universities of Wisconsin system to enroll in most benefits online.
If you have worked for the Universities of Wisconsin or for a state agency in the past, you may need to enroll using paper applications.
If you’re unsure, reach out to your benefits contact to determine if you will be able to enroll by logging in to the Universities of Wisconsin system or if you will need to submit paper applications.
Graduate Assistants: If this is not your first eligible appointment, you may still be eligible for the initial 30-day enrollment period if you have had a 30-day employment break between appointments.
Reach out to your benefits contact if you have any questions.
When You Experience a Qualifying Life Event
For most plans, the elections you make are for the entire calendar year and cannot be changed outside of ABE. However, if you experience a qualifying life event, you may be able to enroll in coverage or make changes to your existing benefits.
If you experience a qualifying life event, most benefit plans have a 30-day window to enroll or make changes. To enroll or make changes due to a qualifying life event, complete and submit paper applications to your benefits contact.
