The Group Insurance Board today approved changes to the State and Local Income Continuation Insurance Programs to ensure continued compliance with federal law.
These changes, effective May 1, 2023, address the duration of ICI benefits and age-related enrollment limits. The Department of Employee Trust Funds will notify participating state and local ICI employers about the changes as well as update benefits materials for members.
Other Business
The Board reviewed an appeal by Sharecare of the Board’s decision to approve the issuance of a letter of intent to award contract(s) to WebMD Health Services for administering the Well Wisconsin Program. The Board heard the results of ETF’s investigation of the procurement and denied Sharecare’s appeal.
The Board’s next regularly scheduled meeting is May 17, 2023.
