Gov. Evers' proposed state budget contains changes affecting ETF's administration of WRS benefit programs, including support for modernizing antiquated legacy systems.
The WRS is a pension plan that is open to any public employer as defined by Wis. Stat. § 40.02(28). All employers joining the WRS must be covered by Wisconsin’s Section 218 Agreement with the SSA. The WRS is intended to provide a lifetime annuity to members who are vested and have reached minimum retirement age.
To help prepare you for this change, ETF will deliver a series of live, virtual training opportunities starting on Monday, May 5. Each live, virtual course will have multiple sessions available, including morning and afternoon options.
Wisconsin state agencies, universities, and local employers gathered at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison to celebrate the successes of the 2024 Well Wisconsin program.
