The GIB today voted to increase rates in 2024 to offset rising health benefit costs and to maintain reserve funds of the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program.
The Group Insurance Board has set premium rates for 2025, while taking action to stabilize the reserve of the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program. The Board also approved health plan service areas for the 2025 plan year at its meeting yesterday.
The State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program is an employer-sponsored program offering group health coverage to employees of state agencies, the UW System, UW Hospitals & Clinics Authority, participating local government employers, and annuitants (and their insured survivors).
If you are eligible to enroll in or change plans due to a qualified life change event, you may be asked to provide documents (employees to your employer, retirees to ETF) to confirm your eligibility.
