The American Rescue Plan Act (ARP) provides for temporary 100% COBRA premium subsidies for eligible former employees who suffered an involuntary job loss, and for current or former employees who have suffered a reduction in hours that made them COBRA-eligible. The Group Insurance Board today discussed initiatives that would support program affordability for members, program innovation, and the overall sustainability of the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program. The Board also approved the release of several requests for proposal.
The Well Wisconsin program is available to subscribers and spouses enrolled in the Group Health Insurance Program via a partnership with WebMD. Participants can earn a taxable $150 gift card by completing a health check, health assessment, and well-being activity.
The State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program is an employer-sponsored program offering group health coverage to employees of state agencies, the UW System, UW Hospitals & Clinics Authority, participating local government employers, and annuitants (and their insured survivors).
The Well Wisconsin Program achieved a significant first in 2023 by attaining its goal of surpassing 50,000 participants earning their $150 incentive. Well Wisconsin participants also experienced valuable and real health improvements.
