Pre-tax Savings Accounts

Pre-tax Savings Accounts allow employees to pay eligible medical and dependent daycare expenses from pre-tax rather than post-tax income. In addition, premiums for the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program, supplemental benefits and life insurance (excluding spouse and dependent life insurance coverage) may be treated as pre-tax deductions. Vision Insurance

Evaluations for visual acuity are generally covered by health insurance. For eyeglass frames, lenses, or for vision exams outside of your health network, optional vision care insurance is available to state employees, state and local retirees and dependents. Coverage is also available to local employees if the employer opts in to the benefit. Subscribers pay the full premium. The vision services plan covers eye exams, frames, lenses, and contact lenses, with plans for singles, couples and extra visits for families.

Securian Accident Plan with AD&D

The Securian Accident Plan provides payments for specific injuries, injury related care, or for accidental death. It also includes travel assistance services and identity theft services. Long-Term Care Insurance

Mutual of Omaha offers a long-term care insurance plan through HealthChoice. It is available to employees, their spouses, and the parents of employees and spouses who reside in Wisconsin and can be purchased any time of year for those who qualify. Each member’s policy will be individually underwritten—premiums are based on that person’s age, gender and health at the time of enrollment.
